  • The text complies with the stylistic and bibliographic requirements (i.e., APA 7th edition) specified in the Author Guidelines, which can be found in the About section of the journal.

Author Guidelines

Guidelines for authors

The Romanian Journal of Communication and Public Relations welcomes high quality contributions investigating topics in the fields of mass media, communication and public relations, from theoretical, empirical and critical perspectives. The RJCPR mainly favors original and articulate research papers, but theory-focused articles, book reviews and other scientific contributions are also welcome.

All contributions are subject to a blind peer review process.  All submitted work must not have been published elsewhere or be currently under review for any other publication. All submissions (with the exception of book reviews) are initially evaluated carefully by the editors of the journal. The manuscripts passing the initial review will undergo peer-review.

Style and Paper Guidelines

General information:

Romanian Journal of Communication and Public Relations (RJCPR) welcomes the following manuscript types: articles, books reviews (of books published no earlier than 2 years before the submitted review), and essays.

  • RJCPR does not have article processing charges (APCs) or article submission charges.
  • RJCPR does not have a waiver policy.

Before submitting, please consult our Code of ethics, in the About section of the website. In preparing your manuscript, it will be useful to read all the info in the About the Journal section. See also the COPE guide for authors.

No changes to affiliation can be made after the paper is accepted.

In-text references: References in the text should be indicated by giving the author’s name with the year of publication and pages in parentheses, e.g. (Chouliaraki, 2013, p. 7), (Chouliaraki & Stolic, 2017); or if there are more than two authors Partington et al. (2013, p. 3). If several papers from the same author(s) and from the same year are cited, (a), (b), (c), etc. should be put after the year of publication, e.g. (Chouliaraki, 2013b, pp. 5-7). If you refer to more than one work at the same time, enclose all the references within the same parentheses and separate each reference from the next by a semi-colon (Chouliaraki & Stolic, 2017, p. 12; Partington et al., 2013, p. 23).

End references: References should be listed in full alphabetical order at the end of the paper.

All quotations in languages other than English should be followed by a translation in square brackets.
